1. Something having contradictory qualities.

2. A statement that seems contradictory, unbelievable, or absurd but that actually may be true in fact.

1. The painted image is of a man and woman roaring down a mountain road – Two free spirits in a Porsche convertible.  The carving is of a highway overpass in gridlock.

2. When I learn/ realize something new there is a part of me that says, "of coarse!," exactly as if the information was already known and all I’ve done is rediscover it.
