This carving was inspired from a Joseph Campbell lecture. He told the story about a sermon the Buddha gave, where in front of a large gathering he said nothing but simply lifted a flower.
Underneath the painting of sunflowers I carved the well known M.C. Escher design of interlaced angels and devils.
